Search by tag from any page. The search syntax page covers filters, ranges and sorting.

Tagging

Tags are the whole point of a booru. Tag what is actually visible: characters, the series, the artist, and what is happening. Tags use underscores instead of spaces (long_hair, not long hair).

Tags fall into categories, each shown in its own colour:

• Artist — who drew it
• Copyright — the series or franchise
• Character — who is depicted
• General — everything else
• Meta — facts about the file itself

Uploading

Duplicates are rejected automatically. New accounts have uploads reviewed before they appear publicly — contribute good tags and that restriction lifts on its own.

Blacklisting

Add tags to your blacklist and posts carrying them disappear from every listing. Safe mode is a stronger switch: it hides everything not rated safe.

Pools, notes and the wiki

Pools group posts in order (comic chapters, sets). Notes are translation boxes drawn onto an image. The wiki documents tags — every tag can have a page explaining what it means.

API

There is a read-only JSON API under /api, plus a Gelbooru-compatible /index.php?page=dapi endpoint. Generate an API key in your settings for a higher rate limit.
